Jan 03, 2017 05:43 PM Back
Beach vacations are still among the most desirable destinations for honeymooners. But, new school newlyweds are looking to some exciting and unexpected locations that are unique and extraordinary because they are out of the ordinary.
Country Couture:Ranches and Farmhouses are among the “IT” spots for today’s twosomes. Farm owners are turning to Airbnb and Help Exchange for opportunities to rent out spaces on their elaborate properties and are offering couples an authentic country getaway including authentic farm adventures such as horseback riding, hayrides, picking fresh veggies and fruits …and fabulously fresh farm to table fare. You can even find more luxurious accommodations in a simulated experience at some of today’s trendiest theme resorts.
Seaside Adventures: Forget the luxury cruises you’re used to, although they ARE excellent options especially for those looking for all-inclusive getaways. Think outside the box and opt for a steamboat cruise down the heart of the Mississippi or smaller luxury vessels that cater to 100 guests or less.
Mini-Cations: Rather than one elaborate escape lots of couples are breaking up their homeymoon into smaller, less expensive mini-moons, taking several small trips throughout the year or one small trip right after the wedding and a larger vacations later in the year.
Foodie-moons: These food centered honeymoons take couples to exotic hotspots known for the culinary creations. From Paris to exotic locations around the globe, these are food and drink experiences that promise to be truly delicious.
Green Getaways: Lots of couples are combining their honeymoon with taking the opportunity to do good and make a difference in the world. So besides flying off to exotic destinations to take in the sights and sounds, many are also adding volunteer work to their itinerary.
